Ryan Johnson
Vice President of Ambassador and Alliance Relations
ADF is a 501c3 that defends all of its client for free; as well as train Christian law school students, and attorneys
Ryan Johnson serves as vice president of ambassador and alliance relations at Alliance Defending Freedom. In this role, he is responsible for leading the Ambassador Team in the implementation and execution of the program's growth, marketing, and campaign strategies to build an alliance of Ambassadors and contacts throughout the nation.
The Ambassador Program is strategically aligned with ADF's external alliance programs to maximize opportunities for networking and funding. Ambassadors serve with their time, talent, and treasure to keep the doors open for the Gospel, by advocating for religious liberty, the sanctity of life, freedom of speech, parental rights, and marriage and family.
Johnson received his Bachelor of Arts from Dillard University in 1990. Before joining ADF in 2019, he served 25 years as a special agent with the U.S. Department of Justice, DEA, conducting criminal investigations; gathering evidence through covert, and electronic means; infiltrating and dismantling criminal organizations. He developed and managed the Forensic Multimedia Lab, which involved the analysis, enhancement, authentication, and voice analysis of surveillance evidence. After retiring, Johnson worked for the Houston Forensic Science Center, managing its digital and multimedia lab, which entailed oversight and management of the digital and multimedia groups.
Johnson has been active in the conservative movement. He achieved Precinct Chair of the Year, chaired committees, precinct conventions, and served as delegate for multiple senatorial and state conventions. He received commendations from U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, and other state elected officials. Johnson has been married almost 30 years and have homeschooled their children.
